Canon Jones Memorial Chapel

The Canon Jones Memorial Chapel stands as the heart of the School. Our fine Chapel is used for prayer and worship, and is open throughout the day for students, staff and parents who are seeking peace, contemplation and a place to ‘rest awhile'. There are regular services for House and Year Groups and the Eucharist is celebrated at least once a week and all are welcome to attend.

Chapel Guild

In keeping with the School's tenets of Spiritual Awareness and Community Service, the Chapel Guild seeks to encourage and support boys in learning and taking on the roles of Crucifer, Acolyte and altar server at School Chapel services. Boys and young men from Prep through to Senior School, volunteer to be a part of the Chapel Guild. Boys and young men who show a particular dedication to being a part of the Chapel Guild are invited to represent the School at wider community and Diocesan events.

Sacristans, Chapel Wardens and Captains

Sacristans are traditionally people who are charged with the care of a Church and its contents. Young men in Year 9 have an option to participate in the School's community services program, by assisting in the behind-the-scenes operations of the School Chapel. A small group of Year 9 boys meet on Monday afternoons to help clean and look after the Chapel linen, vestments and silverware. There is also an opportunity for young men to learn about the traditions and teachings of the Church.
