At Churchie, we have since 1912, pursued a philosophy of preparing our students to be well-balanced men, contributing positively to the community. This pursuit is characterised by our emphasis on the four tenets in our education program: scholastic attainment, spiritual awareness, personal growth and community service.

The School is indeed fortunate to have a highly committed teaching and support staff, focused on the young men in their care. In attempting to meet their daily needs, we wish the students to have fond memories of their School as they prepare for life after Churchie. This is likely to be achieved with an academic program, which has rigour, is varied in its approach and has the highest expectations. With this combination of academic emphasis and an expectation of high standards of personal discipline, we provide an enviable platform for success.

In the classroom we seek to identify the most appropriate way for each young man to learn and develop individual strengths in whatever activities he wishes to pursue, outside the formal learning environment.

Our values, centred upon the Christian faith, are overtly discussed and reinforced. They are the integral component of our pastoral care network – designed to ensure no student ‘falls between the cracks’.

As a community we strongly desire to work in a three-way partnership between the student, the parents and the School. We are constantly reviewing our performance and are more effective for the input from this partnership. Creativity and innovation, which bring about change, are a constant, as our young men deserve the best education we can provide.
