Screening and Compliance Requirements

Churchie supports the rights of children and young people and is committed to the safety, welfare and wellbeing of students and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. All candidates are required to undergo a screening process prior to appointment.

While assessing a candidate’s suitability for the role, consideration will also be placed on a candidate's understanding and commitment to the Code of Conduct, especially how it applies to the safety and wellbeing of children attending Churchie. This is part of our selection criteria and assists us in ensuring that we engage staff that will contribute to creating a safe and supportive environment.

All preferred applicants' details are provided to the Director of Professional Standards, Anglican Church Southern Queensland to be checked against the Anglican Church’s National Professional Standards Register.

For all other positions, applicants must have a valid Blue Card or AHPRA registration (whichever is applicable for the appointment and position).
