2021 student leaders

Posted on 4 February 2021

Our 2021 student leaders in both the Prep and Senior School look forward to serving their school community and acting as role models for their fellow students.

At the Headmaster’s Welcome Back and Leadership Assembly on Wednesday 27 January, the prefects and house captains were presented and undertook an oath, vowing to undertake their duties with 'neither fear, nor favour, nor selfishness, nor sloth'.

Our Senior School student leaders were then commissioned at the 2021 Founder's Day Service at St John's Cathedral, which sent the scene for a wonderful year ahead. The Most Reverend Dr Phillip Aspinall, Archbishop of Brisbane, prompted the students to reflect on the enduring virtues of real leadership, underpinned by a commitment to selflessness and humility, in a world of myriad complexities.

On Friday 29 January, the 2021 Prep School student leaders were inducted at a special assembly, where they learned about leadership being the ability, in the first instance, to lead oneself before you can lead others.

We wish all of our student leaders well in their 2021 leadership journey.
