The scholarships are awarded to academic high achievers who desire to make a difference in the world and are valued at $165,000. Selection criteria include an interest in questions and ideas that have shaped the world, a track record of contribution to the community, creativity and critical thinking skills, the ability to contribute effectively to discussion and debate, and the desire to better the lives of others.

Applicants were required to submit their CV, references and a statement addressing selection criteria, and those shortlisted participated in a panel interview to further demonstrate their suitability for the scholarship.

Henry, Jamie and Nicholas all completed the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme during Years 11 and 12 at Churchie.

After completing his degree, Henry plans to either pursue tertiary acting studies or a law career. Jamie hopes to pursue a career in law as a barrister before one day serving as a politician in state parliament, and Nicholas is considering becoming a barrister but also has an interest in working in academia.

We wish all three young men well with their studies and future careers.
