CART 2023
The opening night of Churchie’s annual art show was abuzz with creative, technical and conceptual talent from the boys in Years 7 to 12, leaving our guest judges in awe of the exceptional student artworks on display.
Guest judge Debbie Taylor Worley, 2023 recipient of the prestigious the churchie emerging art Special Commendation Prize, was impressed by the diverse expressions showcased by the students and observed a shared commitment to environmental awareness. Her chosen award winners embodied the essence of ‘head, heart and hand’ in their works. Old Boy James Laube judged the Vintage Packers Prize and the Old Boys Association Prize.
Year 12 IB student and winner of the Andrew Rowan Memorial Art Prize, Louis Beatty, also went on to receive a commendation award in the Queensland Creative Generation Excellence Awards in Visual Art for his work, Attire.
