The strength of Churchie lies in the spirit of its community. Our broad community of teachers, staff, parents and Old Boys has a strong history of developing young men into leaders in society.
The Churchie Foundation runs activities that advance school spirit. It also supports the School’s proud tradition of community service. We provide financial assistance to families in need and to talented students who may not otherwise have access to a Churchie education.
A history of giving
Since 1912, the Churchie community has given generously of their time, energy and resources in support of the vision of Canon Morris to create a school that is a blessing to its students and a gift to Australia.
The Churchie Foundation was formed in 1989 with the aim of providing financial support for building priorities and scholarship programmes and growing an endowment to provide ongoing funds.
Through their generosity, the Churchie community has provided, for the benefit of Churchie students:
- $2.5 million contributed to academic scholarships since 2008
- $1.4 million contributed to bursaries since 2008
- 129 Old Boys supported through post-graduate study in the UK and USA since 1994
- 12 Yalari scholars currently supported at Churchie
- All major projects receive substantial funding through the Churchie Foundation. The Foundation has raised over $25 million for the school.

What we do
The Foundation’s work extends to the maintenance and ongoing renewal of the School’s beautiful buildings and open environment, ensuring that the fabric of the School stays strong now and into the future.
The Foundation brings people together in support of Churchie as a whole and, in particular, students, nourishing community links for parents, facilitating support of their sons’ activities at school and developing networks that assist past students beyond those years.
With Foundation membership comes a great sense of ‘ownership’ and pride in Churchie’s many achievements.
