Supporting boarding families
The cost of boarding education is a significant financial commitment. Churchie offers a range of assistance options to help make it more accessible, including boarding bursaries, sibling discounts and payment plans.
Boarding bursaries
The Churchie Foundation offers boarding bursaries to students living in rural and remote Australia who would not otherwise have the financial means to attend the School, but who exemplify the four tenets and would contribute meaningfully to the boarding community.
Bursaries are applied to boarding fees only.
How to apply
1. Express interest: Complete an expression of interest form.
2. Provide your details: the School will provide a declaration of financial position and will request additional documentation, including a written response addressing the eligibility criteria, school reports, NAPLAN results and any other relevant supporting documentation.
3. Meet with the School: Successful applicants will be invited to complete an application and attend an enrolment interview.
4. Receive your offer: Following a successful interview, the student will receive an offer of a boarding place at Churchie.
Application periods
Churchie typically offers boarding bursaries at the beginning of the calendar year for commencement the following year. Additional bursaries may become available throughout the year.
Boarding bursaries for 2027
Applications are now open for the Churchie Foundation boarding bursaries. Completed applications close 31 July 2026.
Sibling discounts
Families with multiple sons enrolled as Churchie boarders are eligible for sibling discounts. Discounts are applied to boarding fees only.
The discounts are applied as follows:
- Second son: 10% discount on boarding fees
- Third and subsequent sons: 25% discount on boarding fees
Payment plans
Churchie offers flexible payment plans to help families manage the cost of boarding and tuition fees. Plans allow families to spread payments across the year either by term or monthly instalments. Families are encouraged to contact the School’s finance team, who are committed to working with families to determine the best solution for their needs.
