Boarding financial assistance

Supporting boarding families

We understand the cost of boarding education can be a significant financial commitment for families. To support our boarders and their families, Churchie offers a variety of financial assistance options including boarding bursaries, sibling discounts and payment plans.

Sibling discounts

Families with multiple sons enrolled as Churchie boarders are eligible for sibling discounts. Discounts are applied to boarding fees only.

The discounts are applied as follows:

  • Second son: 10% discount on boarding fees
  • Third and subsequent sons: 25% discount on boarding fees

Boarding bursaries

Churchie offers a limited number of financial assistance boarding bursaries to students living in rural and remote Australia who would not otherwise have the financial means to attend the School, but who exemplify the four tenets of the School and would contribute meaningfully to the boarding community. The boarding bursaries provide a remission of boarding fees.

  1. An expression of interest form is completed which includes a request for the student to provide a written response to eligibility criteria. Parents will also be asked to submit school reports, NAPLAN results and any other supporting documentation required.
  2. The School will provide a declaration of financial position for parents to complete.
  3. If successful, the applicant will be asked to complete a formal Churchie application and will be invited to an enrolment interview.
  4. Following a successful interview, the student will receive an offer of a boarding place at Churchie.

Expressions of interest for boarding bursaries are open at the beginning of the calendar year for commencement in the following year.

  • Formal applications for 2025 boarding bursaries have now closed. Please contact Admissions if you would like to discuss options for 2025 entry.
  • Expressions of interest for 2026 boarding bursaries are now open. Expressions of interest close on 31 March 2025.

Expressions of interest for Year 7 2026

Families of boys due to commence Year 7 in 2026 are invited to complete an expression of interest below to commence the application process.

Expressions of interest close on 31 March 2025.

Please note that only applicants who have not otherwise received a confirmed place at Churchie are currently being accepted.

Payment plans

Churchie offers flexible payment plans to help families manage the cost of boarding and tuition fees. Plans allow families to spread payments across the year either by term or monthly instalments. Families are encouraged to contact the School’s finance team, who are committed to working with families to determine the best solution for their needs.
