Churchie’s cross country team achieved excellent results at the 2023 GPS Cross Country Championships, held on 18 May at Limestone Park, Ipswich.
Our athletes demonstrated incredible dedication, discipline and perseverance in training and preparation for this event. Their hard work paid off with our senior team finishing in third place overall—our best team performance since 2015—while our 10 to 12 years team achieved first place in the junior championship for the second year in a row.
There were several outstanding individual performances on the day, including Winston Rogers winning the Under 10 race, James Turley coming second in the U12 race, Lachlan Moor coming second in the U15 race, Charlie Moore coming second in the Open race, Daniel Lane coming third in the U11 race and Joel Trouchet coming third in the U12 race.
