December 2020 road trip

Director of Boarding Jason Wynne-Markham is currently on the road visiting Churchie Boarding families throughout Queensland. He has just reached Escott Station, near Burketown.

So far, he has visited the Hindman family in Jackson, the Fysh family at Acacia Downs, the Brown family in Cronulla, and the Daniels family at Roxmere Station, just west of Cloncurry. Along the way, he has also stopped at Morven and Muttaburra.

The Churchie community recognises and pays respect to the Traditional Custodians of the land, the Yuggera and Turrabul peoples, who continue to gather to meet, live and learn along the banks and flats of Maiwar. We acknowledge our Elders, past and present, for their connection to this land and for passing down their stories, traditions and ancient heritage. We also acknowledge our non-indigenous community for fostering a spirit of friendship and reconciliation.

Hand in hand, we walk this land.
