Stepping into Senior School

The transition to high school is a pivotal moment in a young boy’s journey at Churchie, and we embrace this moment with purpose and pride. On Thursday 17 October, we were delighted to host the Senior School Experience Day—an inaugural event welcoming the 2025 Year 7 cohort to the Churchie community.

Experience Day immersed boys in the life of Churchie’s Senior School. Guided by Year 10 students, they explored the campus, learned about Churchie’s culture and values and began forging bonds with their future peers and mentors.

A highlight was meeting the 2025 student leaders, who inspired the young men to take every opportunity available to them while at Churchie. 2025 School Captain George Samios said:

This is a special time for the boys to begin writing their own stories at Churchie. We’re here to support and guide them as they step into this exciting chapter.

The spirit of connection extended to Orientation Morning a few days later. This cherished annual tradition welcomed boys with their families to meet the wider school community. They then joined their new house groups for games, laughter and the first steps in building lifelong friendships.

While the boys were busy connecting with their peers, new families met key members of the staff, laying the foundation for the network that will support their sons through their high school years.

At the heart of these events lies the School’s mission: to nurture and inspire men of character. The Senior School Experience Day and Orientation Morning aim to empower every boy to craft his own unique story during his time at Churchie.

We look forward to seeing our new students step confidently into the blue and grey as Churchie students next year.
